Prayers amigo. He sounds like a wonderful man that had a very fulfilling life. I lost my grandfather a year ago. He too was a great man from the greatest generation. In short, he, like your grandfather, was called home. Grieve but be greatful that he had such a large role in your life. At the end of the say, you sound like you were extremely lucky to have him to look up to.

Sorry for your loss man.
I often really envy people who had a great relationship with their grandparents. Having grown up with older parents who were the youngest in their families, I lost all of my grandparents while still in elementary school. I only knew them as old and feeble and never established a deep relationship with them. Sounds like your grandfather led an amazing life and you were blessed to spend some really quality years with him.
