Graph did not update, but level is up to 10.24 here - an increase of 3 inches an hour over the past 2 hours.

As you look at the pond from let's say the Norwood direction..the trailers..the newer double wide, was the one that was the highest up. Water was going in the door at 1030 pm last night. Some to the right were worse off. These were off pics from family. I use to hunt there about 5 years ago. Pete owned it then.

If you make it in, we'll have some whiskey and cigars. If I've lost myour belongings anyway, ought to lose em in style.

But how do we go from normal level to at the banks capacity with no rain? That is an extremely large amount of water.

It would be great if WAFB or WBRZ had an actual expert instead of these eyewitness reports who are incredibly unreliable. This report could be completely factual, but you're talking about actual lives at stake and this is the best you can do?

They could have put Super on TV with a map of the rivers and bayous, gave him a grease pen and with the NWS graphics he could have improved their coverage 1000 per cent and warned more people.

I rate the media's coverage of the science of the event as poor.

A lot probably has to do with the higher areas draining from denham and Baton Rouge. There is still a huge amount of water that has to flow from those areas through the amite.

So Pecan Creek subdivision definitely has water in homes?

From what I have seen there is water in the homes closest to Manchac Bayou but the majority of the neighborhood is still dry

Holy crap...that's crazy. Never thought that area would flood like that. Then again, never thought I would see 20"+ of rain in 2 days either.
