Generally, crest will have a plateau or a broad hill feature.

Look at the FLOW Rate. It has been increasing not decreasing.

Yes but it may not be a true crest. Need several readings to be sure.

Just drove by highland and burbank/seigen, looked worse to me now than it did at 11am. DOTD truck was sitting out there, might be closing the road soon?
That's what I was worried about. The waters have been rising there in each trip I made.

Could that be because water is going back down stream? Not backflowing?

Headed back from beach in morning and going through Nola to get to Gonzales.
Do you think we will be able to get off at Sorrento and take 61 to about Hwy 44? I know the reports that Sorrento could get bad tonight, but I wasn't sure how that would effect the area near the interstate exit at Sorrento.
Thanks for any info that you may have.

Is that a crest?
Unfortunately that is some backwood, manual gage that hasn't worked in nearly 38 hours, but yes, that point has crested in all likelihood, even though we cannot confirm it with the gage.

Thanks. The water would have to rise 4-5 feet to give them a problem I think.
