Anyone know if there are any issues with traveling Hwy 44 from interstate to Airline?
Headed back from beach in morning and going through Nola to get to Gonzales.

Do you think we will be able to get off at Sorrento and take 61 to about Hwy 44? I know the reports that Sorrento could get bad tonight, but I wasn't sure how that would effect the area near the interstate exit at Sorrento.

Thanks for any info that you may have.
Thank you for the info. The house is in the middle so I will keep my fingers crossed
Does anyone know if the houses on Barrett Lane off Elliot took on water? The report I received as of yesterday around mid-day was that the water was approaching houses but not yet in houses.

Thanks in adavance for any info.
Simmons will score easier in the NBA next year then he does in college right now. In the NBA, limited help defense and limited zone defense will allow for better driving lanes.

He will still need to work on his shot in order to maximize his potential, but his lack of jump shot will not hurt the transition as much as some may think.

I think the lack of an inside presence won't be near as big a factor as some are making it out to be. It may hurt us if we make a deep tournament run, but you can win a lot of basketball games with good guards.

Obviously you want both, but most college coaches would take good guards over good bigs.

I stated in a thread a few weeks ago that Simmons reminds me of Lamar Odom.

Some people took that has an insult to Simmons and I am not sure why. Odom took Rhode Island to Elite 8 and had 10+ year NBA career. I would take Simmons leading us to an Elite 8 like Odom did in the 90's.
You do realize how good Lamar Odom was at Rhode Island, right?

If Ben Simmons is that good next year, we will be in great shape.

That clip was the most impressive part of the highlights to me.

Reminds me of Lamar Odom a little.
just parked in Hayfield Lot off Gourrier and there are still spots.

The last slow play penalty was in 1995, so no, they will not.

Well then I guess he will keep playing slow.

You do realize that unless he can clear the cobwebs out of his head that cause him to be so painfully slow he will never amount to anything other than a journeyman pro.

Loupe do something to hurt your feelings in the past?

Your comments sure do seem personal. If he keeps playing slow, the PGA will penalize him. I don't think you should let his slow play upset you this much.

Usually this is true, however, I just got off the phone with the ticket office and for the A&M game, they are now charging $100 for game-by-game parking.

I just called the Ticket Office to check on the $100.

The day of game cash parking around the parade grounds is still $40 for A&M Game.

The parking garage is also $40 on day of game, but costs $80 if you purchase in advance. (doesn't make much sense)

He shot a 63 with double bogey on the card. Pretty impressive.(it does seem that he holed out from the fairway on a par 4 unless he drove the green)

I don't understand why some people think its impossible for a freshman to come in and immediately make an impact. It doesn't take everyone a year+ to develop. Jennings is damn good and we could definitely benefit from having him on deck in case mett went down

This is the same fanbase that didn't think Mett could play when he came after a year at JUCO and was entering his 3rd year of college. I believe the phrase was "he hasn't started an SEC game". And at that time we had 2 QBs who had performed worse than Mett did last year.

When Mett came, we were also going through an OC change, but he could apparently not be ready to play in the SEC.

Why have we now switched to the belief that Jennings is ready to play right away? Seems like we have a better QB situation now then we did when Mett came, but we have fans that think Jennings is ready to play.

I am watching the basketball games right now and I cannot hear the commentators for either game. I can hear the crowd/game noise but I cannot hear the announcers.

I can hear the announcers on the non-HD channels.

Anyone ever had this happen to their TV? I have Cox.

Do people really think Hickey will play in NBA as well?
yes, @ 4:30. I imagine both teams (Salmen & VC) will show up. Should be pretty funny
Still do not know. The appeal (which is tough to keep count which # appeal) is still going on.
