I was hoping you'd stick with us here in Ascension. We're looking for all the info we can get.

Hmm... Those gauges and what I'm hearing about Alligator river are mildly concerning. Impotent, you still around to check?

The crest might have passed but that area is still likely lower than the Amite right now, so more water. Won't go down until the Amite where it meets drops below its current stage unfortunately.

Thanks.... Dropped my kid off with his cousins earlier around the old park and forgot they had a bayou right behind them.

Yeah, I had to evacuate. 5-6 feet of water inside when I went back to check last night . Got myself and my car out early thanks to supernovasky's backflow charts
Everything is a lake on the opposite side of azalea lakes on Jefferson hwy.

I would stick with you guys as the crest moves south but I know nothing about that area.

What area, Jeff? So glad I was able to help. I keep meeting people that apparently followed my posts on TD IRL haha! Had no idea this board was so popular.

Last update for the night at the Lakes at Bluebonnet.
Just went walk to check on Bayou Fountain level and
water level looks down about 6 inches.

I drove back there about 1 hour ag0 and saw no signs of any rising water. One of the main ditches they have going out to the Bayou was flowing really well downstream.

Just checked 73 & 42 again and it has went down more in the last couple of hours. Doesn't make sense with the manchac still back flowing.

Anyone know much about the Henderson Bayou/Boudreau Bayou area of Prairieville? Have an an uncle, aunt and cousins over there that sent a picture of water about a foot from being in their house. Haven't heard from them since (AT&T).

You sure can be an a-hole at times.

I get that, but the Amite @ Bayou Manchac Point has been higher than the other measurements for quite some time. I find it peculiar that the measurements @ Kleinpeter seem to "lag" for so long. At the rate it is rising there and the predicted fall at the mouth near the Amite, it could have another 2 feet to go.

The 4 townhouses next to the cemetery, Brec park, and Masonic Lodge on Jefferson hwy across from azalea lakes.
Your posts were clutch. Thanks again.

Just made it from pelican point area to downtown Baton Rouge in 45 minutes. All the way down river road. Not a soul on the road
