I know the water is pouring over Alligator Bayou/ Manchac Rd. and there are some houses flooded on the low side of Bluff Rd.

Looks like they are about to close airline both ways because blind river is coming up over it

orry, destroyed. All my family, and its a big one had to leave. Im just heartbroken for my home.
My son lives off Beco Rd. Last report is that he has 3 foot of water in his house and the water is still climbing. His house was built up to 30 ft elevation too.
Prayers for you and your family

What area of Dutchtown are people worried about?

Don't know if this helps, but we left New Orleans around 3:30, took 10 all the way to sorrento. Exited 10 at sorrento and took airline all the way to prairieville and had zero issues whatsoever.

Donna Britt: "It's called Bayou Manchac, but you describe it as being so large. Maybe it should be called something bigger... like an ocean or something."

We were on beco road. It was bad. All jokes were total loses. And it was rising. We pulled a few people out and some livestock

FYI, Central folks: I passed by the highschool on wax about 2 hours ago and at the side street on the East side of campus they were in the middle of putting in a sidewalk. The South shoulder has deteriorated bad and the road has developed a dip. North woods subdivision is dry so I'm going to see if I cab get down old wax to greenwell springs to hooper. If not we'll be stuck and I plan on parking a vehicle on the other side of the potential road cave in so we aren't completely stuck.
