The wife and I looked at each other like when she said that.

My son lives off Beco Rd. Last report is that he has 3 foot of water in his house and the water is still climbing. His house was built up to 30 ft elevation too.

So sorry to hear that. Thanks for the kind words.

I'm around the 42 & 73 area of Prairieville. Just went and checked down my road where some flooding happened. Looks like it has went down a few inches the last couple of hours

I just saw the video from WBRZ from I-10 at Manchac. That was a pretty good flow in the wrong way (according to the man narrating).

I'm in the same area (73& 42) and water has definitely gone down this afternoon. So back flow is helping us out? What about when it returns to normal? So confusing.

Not really. The back flooding is what caused the water in the first place. It has since slowed. It may begin to flow normal soon

Just walked through, water still high in streets but I did not see any houses with water in them.

As somebody who can almost see Bayou Manchac from my roof, that really sucks. If the Amite at BM has crested, and supposedly Bayou Manchac itself has crested, why would the flow be so strong the wrong way?

Well the gauge is steadily going up at bluff swamp. I was starting to question it's accuracy but I guess it's right. Damn
