Lsunurse Since my mom lives there too, when it comes time to start cleaning up I'll help if I can.

Thank you. Besides the 2 minute phone call with my sister yesterday....I cannot reach my family at all right now. But...at least I know they are ok.

Winbourne got it pretty good. Howell park was under at least 2-3 ft of water.

Are there any signs that the water is receding? Are the rivers and creeks flowing in the right direction? Are pumps turned back on? Anything?

The news and weather channel do a terrible job of talking specifics like that. They just have sensationalist stories about escapes and stuff.

I need some science updates.

I went check Blue Bonnet @ bayou Fountain and water was flowing out. The creek in my neighborhood (Staring / Burbank) that drains into Bayou Fountain is also flowing out.

Man, WBRZ is amateur hour with this "Breaking News" shite.

WAFB kicked WBRZ's arse during this whole flood coverage!

The few times I had to watch WBRZ when WAFB went back to normal programming, I cringed!

Water on hwy 74 at Grand Goudine receded significantly yesterday and into this morning. From 50yards of road flooded out to just barely wet this morning but no standing water. It has receeded out of all of the homes in that area as well.

Hopefully it is not affected by backwater flooding...

So water in Santa Maria is still rising?

I hope it hasn't

My previous/ now vacant home that we still own located near Wards Creek (on Southern Hills) had water in the street as of yd.

Any feedback from folks who live in that area would be appreciated

Turn your phone off then turn it back on. I know it sounds stupid, but my didn't start receiving calls and texts until I did that.

I have no cell service but my phone has internet so I can send messages to iPhones, but can't send a regular text message. Can't make or receive calls.

TKE, would you mind checking out the town homes off Pinehaven? My s/o hasn't been about of town and couldn't check on her place. Good luck out there

Pinehaven seemed ok. I dont think there was any dmg to those condos. Some of houses that werent raised (still cant figure out how that was approved) are flooded though.
