Just went down hwy 42 trying to get to my house, water is covering the road but still passable at Diaz tire right before les Chenier. Les Chenier, McCrory and the road before les Chenier are not passable unless you have a very big truck.

Your daughter should take Highland off campus, then right on Bluebonnet to Highway 30, left on 30, and then I-10 to NOLA.

My Mom lives in that exact area, have been closely monitoring that gauge and the actual water level. As of this morning 44 is passable at Grand Goudine, actually all the way from airline to 73.

I live on the golf course in Santa Maria..
Woke up with the water creeping into my backyard now. How much higher do you think it's going to rise?
Not going to lie, getting nervous now, even though from where the water is to my actual house is an incline now.

Are there any signs that the water is receding? Are the rivers and creeks flowing in the right direction? Are pumps turned back on? Anything?
The news and weather channel do a terrible job of talking specifics like that. They just have sensationalist stories about escapes and stuff.
I need some science updates.

Since my mom lives there too, when it comes time to start cleaning up I'll help if I can.

My neighborhood got its water from the Jones Creek watershed. Since dark last night (Sunday), it has fallen a few inches, but there is a long way to fall.

I don't see how it could be. It probably rose slightly overnight when the crest passed. I don't see anyway it's still actively rising.

Man, WBRZ is amateur hour with this "Breaking News" shite.
Talking to a family that said "God is Good" is not breaking news to come back from a commercial with.
Ridiculous.

Quail Creek is still dry this morning. Water is on 929, Madison Place has homes with water in them. Tillotson road is flooded past the back of Quail Creek.
