Didn't see that, but that sounds more reasonable. Thanks.

Not getting TV coverage in nola and the wafb stream is stuck playing ads.

The Great Flood of 2016: Backflow Flooding Occuring (8/14/16)
It is 100% rising at Bluebonnet in front of Albertsonm

Thanks Impotent. Keep reporting. So the water dynamics are as seen in this map:

Earlier today, as in the dashed line, the flow was ALL forward free flowing. That lead to most of these areas seeing drops in water level.

Now, the flow has slowed to a logjam all the way downstream, and at Highland/Siegen where Impotent showed it is currently flooding. Water is flowing from LSU area (currently decreasing for some people there) to Albertsons, but water is also logjammed and backflooding from Siegen/Highland to Albertsons.

That point (point 3) should continue to head closer and closer to Starring now as it floods at Albertsons and surrounding neighborhoods.

Damn, I remember you from the tornado thread. You've had a real rough go of it this year. Keep your head up.

Personal responsibility for flooding in an area that wasn't in a flood zone? Wtf are you talking about?

This isn't really the time or place for that discussion, but anyone who lives in South Louisiana and has lived here for a long time really should have flood insurance - even if they are not in a flood zone.

I was in an x zone for Katrina. 12 feet of water. Thank God I had it - cheapest bet I've ever won on.

Any updates on the U Club?

Not quite the UClub but I have a cousin in UClub South with his back yard dropping off into the origin point of Manchac. He said.

Good. It actually didn't get too high throughout these past few days. We were worried but it has been coming down. Thanks for asking

I think the University Club is at high enough elevation to be ok.

Eta: Has Manchac and Amite crested? Channel 2 keeps showing a graphic saying the water level is slowly falling.

Manchac at Amite crested.

But it is slow to go down and right now, Manchac @ Bluff Swamp is still going strong.

Currently, the driveway has a puddle at the end of it. Most of the day, only the side nearest Albertson was taking water. It appears both sides are now.

Emailing now. We are unit 536. It's on the left when you're looking straight on at it. Kind of towards middle bc it's a huge one.

It went through a little burst here a few hours ago but appears to have stabilized again. I'll give it one more beer and then off to bed, if nothing happens.

Just checked my backyard. The water in Bayou Fountain has not risen near me. Or if it has it is negligible. I still have roughly 2+ feet until the water is level with my backyard.

Wow. Completely devastating. Had I known this while we were sitting in ft Walton I would've sped my arse back to salvage ANYTHING. I'm a very sentimental person, almost a pack rat a little, and I'm so sick. I saved our spit valve publications from tigerband bc they brought me so much joy.
