yeah, my family is saying that the water is about 2 feet from where it was at its highest point. not really receding yet, but also not rising. so i'm not sure what that means. it is about 15 feet from their house.

i'm hoping that area will see some improvement soon. once it crests there, it should.

Have they heard if they flooded yet?

No idea yet. I only talked to my sister. I've been watching the drone footage people keep posting on fb hoping I could see where they live...but I cannot.

But people keep talking about how bad the flooding is in that area

As long as I don't get lumped in with this PeeJ person I keep hearing about here - he seems to not be viewed highly and from the context clues, I can gather he posted about weather too!

again, you are the man.

do you have a latest projection about the jones creek/old hammond gauge? just old hammond/millerville/sherwood in general? i've heard it's getting better in those areas.

The crest has passed the point that it flows out at, or at least it has reached its peak. It should be able to flow out much more easily now. Levels should start dropping.

Burbank soccer fields:

More Burbank soccer fields:

Burbank lane flooded in curve coming from Highland:

Bayou Fountain gauge. Was just below bottom hole at 5:00.

Still below bridge by 3 feet:

Burbank soccer fields.

Precisely what I thought, Impotent - this is why backflow hasn't happened much at Bluebonnet yet - this is acting as a buffer.

When your arrow leaves the blue X headed West, why does it take a Northern arc, and not follow the Bayou along highland?

That's good to see. Doesn't look like it's rising much.

If it doesn't i'm completely fricked.
I already lost my job since my bosses business and everything with it is underwater.

I'm bracing for the absolute worst at this point. That way I can only be thankful if it doesn't go under.

Many family and friends have lost everything for certain. I hope I'm in the position to give some assistance

He is good people, esp. if you are the kind of gambler that likes to win Seriously though, his hurricane predictions are usually spot on, "anywhere from Mexico to Florida"
