Even if they aren’t football fans, out-of- town guests will pay far more for hotel rooms if they can even find one. May have to stay far away just to get a room. It’s inconsiderate to plan like this.
It’s right up there with a destination wedding around Christmas (like WDW). Who wants to spend a lot of extra money and be away from home at Christmas for a wedding?

You’d have left the game anyway 2 hours in regardless of the score.
Must still be in your 20s if lsu games are this important to you

It's 2022. If you can't watch a ballgame on your phone you are behind.

Not sure what you mean here. Are you assuming that the wedding is happening in the same town as the game?

Unless the wedding is taking place in a small college town, traveling fans for a college football game are not going to monopolize an entire metro area's hotel capacity.

I am supposed to go to one at six Saturday and Alabama kicks off at seven. I am on call this weekend so I asked my boss to call me around 5:30 and fake a work call.

I guess I was thinking of a college town since I live in one.

My sister-in-law decided that Saturday afternoon would be a great time to get married. Wedding starts at 2 pm. Wife is pissed that I don't want to go. Any advice from the O-T Lounge? I gotta watch my tigers this weekend
Tell her to relax. You'll make it to her next one.

To be fair a 2 pm wedding should be fine before kickoff.
It’s not sister in laws fault that the SEC media partners screwed this up and we got an 11 am kickoff.
Unless she just decided yesterday to get married.

I wore an earpiece in a wedding during LSU/Miami.

When did she plan the wedding? You have to work your way out of it as soon as you know about it.

Quit seeking your sense of self and self esteem from a team you have nothing to do with and doesn't even know you exist. You could die tomorrow and not a single person on the team would give a shite. Their winning or losing impacts your life none. If it does you're a numbnut.

Do not want to expose people to Covid?
Would like to attend.
Helping the couple save money by not eating or drinking at the reception.
Just look her in the eyes and say,” honey I would love to go, but our marriage was so priceless I do not want to run that image in my head.”

Send her a fruit and cheese basket.

I stopped going to weddings instead.

You serious? Go find a decent room in BR this weekend. Your choices are super stabby, over $150 in Denham Springs/Port Allen or $500 Doubletree. Alabama and Ole Miss weekend will be worse.
