I'd say 5.0 Mustang or Nissan 370z.

That list is bullshite, no Subaru.

Best thing you can do to a Miata is drop a V8 in it.

The turbocharged 718 makes me wonder why they never offered that as an option on the Miata. Completely different performance profile with the extra HP.

Fun Fact. They did!

It looks like a mash up of an 350z, bmw z4 and a mid 90’s rx7.

Miata has the same 6 speed transmission as the Toyota Tundra. Impressive.

The car ignorance in this thread shouldn't be surprising, but somehow it is.

Is it still the size of a go cart?

That probably adds to the fun. Have you ever driven 40+ MPH in a go-kart? It's amazing

I'm 6'3" and have driven a Miata. Yes it is quite cramped for a daily driver but it would be difficult to find a more enjoyable car for cruising around the streets of your city.

It is the automotive equivalent of sleeping with a 4'11" spinner...Light, peppy, and aiming to please

It's a beautiful car; I just wish they had a real coupe (fixed roof) instead of a retractable hardtop.

My dad had one when they first came out. He had the hard top convertible which was way better looking than the soft top imo. Looked like different car.

Yeah, when I quit seeing homos driving Miatas, I'll let you know, but it's never going to happen.

I've said it countless times, mazda is top to bottom the best auto manufacturer in its class.

The driving dynamics are great, the styling is great, they have great, peppy engines that get great mpg.

They *may* not have the same reliability as Toyota, but they aren't far off and they beat Toyota in every other category (except for trucks, obviously).

If I was looking to get another sports car, the new mx5 would probably be at the top of the list.

Get in an accident in that toy car, and you'll be screaming "Get Miata here!"
