This is a pratice with 5 docs and 2 NPs.

Yet I needed to change pediatricians (again, retirement) and I got an appt within 3 days.

bro i have a doc in houston i see at baylor, has tons of nps, PA, Docs and yet it take 3-4 months to get an appointment even being a patient. this isnt a louisiana thing.

i agree the culture of incompetence in South La sucks but it also applies to you, its ok to take the L on that one and admit maybe it is an issue across the nation.

We can go to the chain grocery store with all self-checkout lanes, or we can go to the local grocery store with one cashier who is on her phone the entire time.

I gotta say, the service at NuNu's is impeccable.

I've noticed that here with Lafayette General and Lourdes taking over the family doctor offices. Service goes downhill.

You will get downvoted into oblivion but it's largely true. I've lived in three different states, and I would say that overall Louisiana people seemed to deal with paralyzing anxiety more than most. I think that is a large part of the problem.

I LOVE you guys, the folks Ive met from LA from the site have been a blessing

that being said

As a whole, folks from LA lack intellectual curiosity and are stubbornly proud of it
Their worldview is limited to their culture I hazard a guess that even the LA natives that have moved out of state will attest to this

I'll admit that culture is also very generous and warm also VERY comfortable for those that know nothing else

The Publix in Perdido is what my local Rouse’s want to be when it grows up.

My Go To Rouses is the one on Burbank/Lee. I was just at the Innerarity/Perdido Publix two weeks ago. I went to buy some stuff and the clerk checking me out opened the carton of eggs I was buying. Yep, ends up one was broken so she scanned it then sent someone to get me a new carton. Courteous and efficient.

has gotten worse to unbearable in the last 2 decades.

Festivals are populated now with all varieties of human trash.

Look at the parishioners that defend an organization hell bent on protecting pedophiles in the priesthood. The real groomers are the Catholic Church with young boys yet LA continues to support.

So no pastor in your religion has ever abused someone?

You do know you can support an organization all the while acknowledging there is a problem in said organization and try to fix it

People support their local Catholic parish and solve the problems there. Our last 2 priests hammered the upper management of the church for their handling of the pedophilia and letting known gay people become priest

Culture. The standards of acceptability are so incredibly low. It is impossible to improve anything when the basic foundation is so incredibly low that they can't even see or understand the problem. It's a shite hole and they love wallowing in it.

Agree with all you said here. But it is not simply a lack of intellectual curiosity.
An aggressive anti intellectual attitude prevails and is sometimes celebrated.

There’s a pretty huge amount of fail (on your part) in this post.

I don’t disagree with your general premise but how is this an example of incompetence? Like what’s your expectation here?

Louisiana posters here have always had a lot of self-loathing about their state. I’m unsure how much is justified.

Louisiana is a different world. Especially if you’re comparing to Texas.

Unfavorable demographics ultimately ruin anything Louisiana has going for it.

I’ve never seen natives of a state completely hate their home state like people do on here about Louisiana.
