There's a ton of employees, who are friendly and always willing to help with something..

The bathrooms are clean with about 8 attendants standing around waiting to clean.. The toilet stall walls are all the way to the ground so you don't have to worry about the sudden tap on the foot... With about 50 urinals...

That's all you need.

There is a Travel Center on the East side of Dallas, that I could not count all the urinals in. Young dude polishing chrome said it was 60's or 80's cant remember. If only the dome was catered by Bucc-ee

bucees does a great job of protecting the brand and keeping up a quality experience. baton rouge would try to ruin it

anyone who doesn't believe the police shootings a few months before they cancelled the Millerville one had anything to do with them pulling out, you have blinders on..They could have dealt with floodwaters like the people who are building there now will

I’m amazed they haven’t expanded faster across the country, especially the entire South. I will always stop and I’ve even missed the exit due to construction and looped around on the next exit to get to one

It's a family owned company, and they have made it completely clear that they have no intention of ever franchising. So their capacity to build is pretty much limited to what they can directly manage, their HQ is in Pearland I believe.

They are working on two in AL and two in Fl. And having four going at once is by far their largest expansion at one time.

They tend to want to build near major highway intersections (Terrell, Luling) or the pretty-far outskirts of major areas (West Katy, Roanoke).

In South LA, I have often felt the best locations would be (based upon the above and large land available with easy access):

I-10 at Lobdell
I-10/I-55 interchage, northwest corner
I-10/I-59/I-12 interchange, probably on I-59 at Pearl River exit (best spot would be between 59 and military rd along 10, but no exit there)
I-12 and I-55, probably along south side of I-12 between 55 and 51

I'm not sure what incentives the state/parish offered them, but the one being built by Foley Express is getting 7 million in new market tax credits.

I feel like if the state/parish would have stepped up to help, it would be open by now.

They pay very well.
I think they start at $14 that helps you get quality employees.

Correct. We are also getting one in Mobile off I-65.

Yep. At Springhill. But I don't know where that thing is going to fit. Unless they plan on tearing down the strip mall behind the Chevron.

They do. It's the same reason Costco has great employees and a very low turnover rate. I'm willing to go out of my way to support a business that takes care of their employees. It's also why I avoid places like Walmart, that uses welfare and food stamps to subsidize their employee's shitty pay.

I never been, but I think I said this awhile back. A friend of mine who goes to Texas on a regular basis for work, says it is completely amazing. For him to describe a place as completely amazing, I figured it had to be something there that you can't get or do anywhere else... And he told me it was the bathrooms. He told me I really wouldn't understand until I visited one myself. He says he stops by the ones he passes, every time, just to go use the bathroom, whether he has to or not.

But this is a site that has 25 "amazing things you probably didn't know about Buc-ee's"
Buc-ee's Facts

The two big pieces to the puzzle, when the guy opened up the first store was clean bathrooms and cheap ice..

I was just coming to ask if ones being built there. They’re going to have to widen that road once it opens.

The first and only Buc-ees I've ever been to. It was like entering nirvana. Stopped heading in to Dallas and liked it so much I had to stop on my way home, too.

Theyre not doing the one on I-65. Was hoping it would be there as I drive through weekly.

That might be the smallest piece of property that a gas station can fit on. No way theyd ever build there.

Not in Mobile
