Pretty sure Buc-ee’s Corporate is in Lake Jackson. One of their original locations in Freeport sucked offshore guys in by the droves because they sold the huge bags of ice for $1. Their marketing team are geniuses.

I'm not a fan of his either, but I think he was governor when they announced they were coming and then when they decided to leave..The police killings and flood were the as much a part as not getting state money, I'm sure

I wish they’d open one on 49. That stretch of highway is a waste land. I know there’s not enough traffic, but I can be hopeful, right? I just someone would build a decent gas station with clean bathrooms. They all SUCK.

I’ve tried just about every gas station and fast food joint in Natchitoches and every last bathoom is disgusting. Alex is no better. I usually stop just south of Shreveport at the casino/gas station. That place is ok.

I love Buc-ees, but I did discover a weakness recently: there is no place to eat.
You can buy all kinds of great food, but there is not so much as a picnic table to sit down at to eat.
I never noticed before, but i had some time to kill and I wanted to eat my bbq sandwich and chips there. No dice.
