I posted about a buddy of mine in the last Bucees thread. He is a factory sales rep and he covers the whole state of Texas. His claim to fame is that he has taken a dump in every Bucees. When the one in Alabama opens, I bet he drives there to take a dump just to keep his claim intact.

I walked around to the employees just to piss them off saying, "is this the only 'Boo-keys' in town?"

Outside of the bathrooms, I was a bit underwhelmed at the one in Pearland. I was probably better off going during the day though.
i'd consider that one just a run of the mill gas station

the interstate bucees are where it's at

Would be awesome if they built one between BR and N.O...

It would end up being the worst Buc-ees in the entire chain and get shut down so as not to harm the brand name.

Buc-ee's is awesome. They don't allow big trucks there and the ones we stop at driving through Texas are always packed but not annoyingly so. The restrooms are always clean. Their prices and selection is good. Gas prices are usually lower than other places and their ice is cheap.

I also appreciate that they treat their employees well, everyone seems like they are in a good mood and happy to be at work which is a nice uplift on a road trip.

I was driving back real late from Houston and needed gas badly. Just said F it and exited, never made that mistake again.

Agree this would be the perfect spot for Buc-ee's. Especially all the Tejas folk that drive in/out, would be a cash cow.

I've made that mistake twice. Late drives back from Texas trying not to stop for gas.
Pull off there, drive all the way to airline, then get lost trying to get back to i10. Its literally closer just to go to the next exit in laplace, which also has a great spot for a bucees

i always thought the border bt LA/Texas would be perfect.

would be a boon for the community of Orange, and man, it would bring in all comers.

especially the losers coming home empty handed from casino trips to Lake Charles

If we haven't ruined Chic Fil A, we would not ruin Buc-ees

it's all about quality control. bucees does a great job of protecting the brand and keeping up a quality experience. baton rouge would try to ruin it, but i'd bet on bucees to uphold quality standards there.

I would imagine most people making that drive are going all the way to Houston, and they have a relatively new one in Baytown.
