That is not true. It has a bunch of errors in it because it was written (mostly plagiarized) by a 19 year old kid. It is OG copy/pasta.

There were so many BS rumors about the book, but the theory that the FBI would distribute to the public a book that provides a shite ton of correct instructions on tactics of terror and discord so that a few incorrect instructions are out there does not have much merit or logic.

That's exactly what they would WANT you to think.

I read it once. There really wasn’t anything mind blowing in it. It was kind of disappointing.

That must be the cookbook my mom was using when she would burn all our food when we were growing up.

I got mine in the 90s from a old man that lived in a shitty shack in the woods.

They figured it was better to blow potential terrorists up in their garages than doing damage to the general population.
I am NOT going to do a Google or AI search to check if these statements are correct.

I almost did, but I don't need that kind of information in my browser history.

I remember it making the rounds as a text file during the BBS days of the '80s-early '90s.

No, but I have The Anarchist's Workbench by Christopher Schwarz.

Read it a few months ago and have really wanted to build a Roubo ever since. The book was more interesting than I thought it would be.

I've only heard rumors about what was in it, but never read it... things like drilling holes in all 4 corners of a windshield and it will eventually break (don't know if I believe it)

Putting marbles/tampons in a gas tank so it clogs the pickup

What i do know is that mythbusters were going to do a segment about a pretty intense homemade explosive using common household items... the safety team on set (i.e. firefighters) said it was 100% real, so they decided not to shoot the segment or publish the info

It was the edgy thing to own in the 80s and early 90s. A slightly older friend of mine had one,

When the internet became a thing, I ended up downloading a copy, but then, with the internet, you don't really need that book. Everything you want to know from it is online.

I might still have a copy.

Edited:
Now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure I lost it in a tragic boating accident.

This us exactly what someone asking about the anarchist cookbook would be researching at 6:30am on a Saturday morning.

Also, making real lsd is extremely complex and takes true lab equipment.

I think their method was ergot from morning glory seeds that at the time were more easily attainable . This is off the top of my head so could be wrong.

(what my copy looks like not the black cover one)

Now this book is interesting. Read that a bunch of famous writers and such had proudly stolen this book. One day I discovered it at Purple Cow, put it under my shirt and walked out! I felt like such a badass. It's not small and I was prepared to run. It has some good old real world scams in it that used to work.

The author had plenty of opportunities to say that. In his memoir, he owned it as being all on him. He acknowledged that much of the information in the book was untested and potentially dangerous, as he compiled it from unverified sources like military manuals and radical publications. He regretted the lack of caution and responsibility in publishing such material without ensuring its safety or accuracy.
