lolwut?
My wife just used her last sick day for the year last week. My kids have had a rough go of it in 2018. If she has to take time off to care for them again this year, it will use up the rest of her vacation or she won't get paid at all. Neither of us think that's unfair. The majority of her coworkers are mothers, and she's probably the most reliable of the group, but a person without kids would likely be more reliable. At no point would she try to argue that's unfair or a penalty.

2 out of the 3 managers in my group are women. The one guy manager is a pansy who got the gig in the 90’s. Our director is a woman. Our AVP is a woman. If you don’t have a pussy, dont suck dick, and have white skin, you are the last choice for advancement (I.e if you are a straight white man you are garbage).

First they were pissed about not having jobs. Now they they work too long.

^ This is the same mentality that women/minorities have in most offices. Congrats.

If you're working in a field that requires constant communication in a team setting, then that would be a complete disaster.

We broke the glass ceiling!
...can someone clean up that broken glass? I don't really have time. I need to take Braidynn to the pediatrician for his gluten allergy shot.

I waited tables in college. We could ask off various holidays, but you weren't going to always get them off because some holidays are busy at restaurants and they simply need a staff.
So you have to choose which holidays. The women with kids always got to pick first, because they had kids I guess? Such a crock of fricking bullshite. I can't tell you how many dudes ended up working on some shitty holiday because of all the teen/early 20s moms who made bad life decisions got first dibs. I guess childless people don't give a frick about enjoying Christmas eve with family.

that if isn't always the case.

I don't really mind that they get special consideration due to their children, but don't turn around and bitch about a pay gap or unfair policies after you get preferential treatment over the men.

why should they get special consideration for a holiday that everyone celebrates? I had family out of town and missed numerous trips to Louisiana because I had to work. Having kids shouldn't move you ahead of others without kids when it comes to things like holidays. Especially Christmas. everyone celebrates Christmas, not just moms.

When they call in sick because they have to accompany little Johnny on his school field trip.
When they call in sick because little Johnny has a cold.
I had to work with BS like that at one time in my life.

Simple solution: don't have children

Liberating anyone from a strict work environment would make them happier. I'd love to be able to leave the office and still get my work done but my job doesn't allow it so I make do.

or to all their employees.
My wife works at a place that is 75% female with lots of mothers of young children. Everyone gets the perks that the mothers do, which is the way to do it.
She works from home 2-3x per week, and can work remotely when she likes. Her boss let her work from new orleans for a month, and in mexico for two weeks.
