And moms' that stayed home.
Yep. Growing up in a subdivision I remember going play with all my friends down the street, and I remember all the mamas were home tending to the house wearing their robes. When we did run across a family with a career mom, it kind of struck us as odd.

One day someone will create a psychological dissertation about Saturday morning cartoons. Unless you are a later Boomer, Gen X or a very old Millennial, you don’t get it.
It was the one time a week that the TV was exclusively for the kids. It gave us a sense of empowerment. Nothing but a bowl of cereal and a 25” console TV. Dad played golf or fished, mom did whatever the hell she did on Saturday mornings, and it was grand.
By the 90s, cable was everywhere and you could watch cartoons 24/7. But when we only had 4 channels, Saturday mornings belonged to us. And everyone knew it.

Your math ain't mathing.
Well, 9/11/91 happened, too. I figure something important that day to someone too.

I love how the big wheel was doing a rolling burnout the entire time.

I was born in 1978 so I don't remember the 70s, but when watching that it reminded me of something. Did anyone else's dad never talk on the phone? My daddy never answered the phone.. He might have called someone once in a every blue moon, but today it seems like people talk on the phone a lot more. Kids call their parents a lot more..

Yes, dads talked on the phone in the 70s

As in holding long conversations on regular basis?
Posted on 4/25/26 at 9:40 pm to OweO
Not around their kids. kids make too much noise, kids interupt there are things you wont say in front of your kids
Usually, if they are having a conversation with a friend or someone they want to talk to and if its an extended conversation with they're probably bitching about their wife and kids
chris are you really this stupid

That’s really the ideal situation for children. Spending all day with the most precious thing in your life that you created or go work for a corporation that will fire you in a heartbeat while you pay someone 16 dollars an hour to raise your child.

I’m 59 and the energy crisis was a big a deal as you think (least not in MS) and disco was FAF

Yeah, no thanks. Take off the rose colored glasses boomer
Keep it in mind the next time you whine about how "good" they had it, and how hard your life is in comparison.

All the old people fall for it every time, that’s why it’s themed to the 60s or 70s
