The family of Texas Roadhouse CEO Kent Taylor says he died by suicide while experiencing “unbearable” symptoms related to COVID-19. Texas Roadhouse announced the death of Taylor, who founded the Kentucky-based restaurant chain in 1993, on Thursday.

Taylor will be remembered for giving away his entire compensation package to support frontline employees, the company said

The family seems to insinuate that but there’s no proofs it seems. So many people are committing suicide these days that I’m sure he’s not the first to do it while having covid symptoms.

The photo above your post leads me to believe that he was one of these people who has bitten so hard on the COVID scare from the media that he convinced himself he wouldn't survive and killed himself. Headline should probably read: "Undiagnosed mental illness leads to suicide."

Hope there was no life Insurance money available. Typically suicide is a deal breaker when trying to get the funds.

I don't think his family needs an insurance policy. TR isn't exactly a failed franchise.

We went to Logans and Texas Roadhouse recently. Based on the steaks that arrived Logan’s should close their doors. Texas Roadhouse steak was even better looking than an advertised steak. Cannot believe how thick and perfectly cook that steak was.

This. For the love of God, this! I've eaten alot of steaks in my life. I've had plenty of bad steaks, hell I've cooked a few bad steaks over the years. But, hands down Logan's is the worst steak I have eaten anywhere. It was just terrible, overcooked and cold at the same time, weird fat and gristle that really had no rhyme nor reason, and there were no peanuts in the damn building at the time! The cold beer and good looking server were the only redeeming qualities of the meal. No wonder they are sending out coupon giftcards through the mail like crazy.

This is a very sad story. He committed suicide due to post covid symptom of debilitating tinnitus. Although debilitating tinnitus is not as common in the general population (it is much more prevalent in our veterans), we are actually seeing a huge uptick in cases of sudden onset Hearing loss, dizziness, & or general tinnitus post covid. It’s just not being discussed as much in the mainstream media.... Covid is a virus & viruses can attack and damage the inner ear & Eighth nerve...
