Is there a Climate Change tax we can pay to keep it this way? Asking for a friend.

If the climate decides to put a heat wave arse whipping on us in August and September I’ll know who is to blame!

They are going to regret that come August.

It is typical, weather isn’t identical year to year. It wasn’t that long ago there was a record set in Dallas for consecutive 100+ degree days.

They’re talking about Texas. Not southern Oklahoma.

Some kind of global warming or global cooling, I can't make up my mind yet.

As others have said in this thread, the daily afternoon showers seem to be helping a lot.

Yeah, at worst a nuisance and at best a reprieve for all of our struggling A/C systems. The later “evening showers” also seem to keep the following morning temps from starting in the upper 80s. But the also tend to jack morning humidities up just a bit. I guess you just have to pick your poison.

North of Dallas and we’ve gone on nightly walks after dinner all summer and it’s been great.

Very reasonable. Just means Sept and Oct are gonna be a bitch

Look at some of the OK temps, over 100 in the next 10 days.

This year has been wetter and more muggy than the past few years. Heat index actually worse thanks to the high dew points.

Been a miserable summer, but at least the frequent afternoon showers give a quick cool down

Outside of the last 3 days in Charleston, it seems cooler than normal. The last 3 have been miserable off the coast. 8 more weeks and we will see cooler nights and 16 till the days are good.

Alabama and Georgia have been oppressively hot

I was in Birmingham recently and it’s the hottest place I’ve ever been.

Our definitions of great are much different….I have absolutely hated this summer in Louisiana:

rain every single freaking day…my yard is so wet, I hate it

Houston summer has been unbearable last 3-4 years. Finally getting back to something manageable, helps that we’ve had plenty of rain and not in a drought.

Same here in N.O. with rain coming 1 to 2 times a week so far this summer.

I know it's been a blessing for my vegetable garden and my water bill with not having to water a few times a week to keep things alive. A good rain twice a week and there is no need for me to break out the hose and water other than potted plants that damn near need to be watered daily with evaporation out of the pots.
