Want to compare homeowners rates and deductibles?

Eta: I will pay 17k in property taxes this year. My tax burden to Texas is less than it would be in Louisiana with my 5k LA property tax bill.

Texas is a bunch of fake freedom lovers. That's why all the potheads have to move to Austin to protect themselves.

Well without resetting the rates when property values spike taxes follow.

Looking at one tax rate in a vacuum is dumb. Look at overall tax burden.

Property tax complaining is getting very old... My property taxes are half what Id pay in income tax in another state. Im considering a move so have done all the calculations.

Very few folks move to Texas to reside in the City of Dallas proper.

The reason the tax bill has shot up is due to home values. Demand is very high in parts of Dallas (private school areas, Lakewood, Preston Hollow and the like).

Lots of people don’t like living next to Walmart in an exurb and 2 hours from anything entertaining.
