Whatever it was it got to speed quick, not a lot of Custer is conducive for that speed.
Maybe up in McKinney? A few less lights but still a ton to make that kind of speed.

When I had my sports bike, I would hit 150+ on GA 400. Passed cops several times who didn't even bother.
Had a friend once who wasn't so lucky. Cops actually had a helicopter in the air that immediately got above him following. He pulled over and was ticketed and arrested.

I’ve seen those idiots on I-20 on motorcycles ride wheelies in noon hour traffic in Dallas. We were rolling along about 80 and those guys were keeping pace.

My buddy’s boss owned a Ferrari in Dallas. He said one time he passed a cop who put his lights on, he stopped a mile up the road and waited for the cop. Cop said he was suprised he waited, gave him a warning. My CSB story of the day.
