It’s been a long since I’ve driven that fast. What struck me then was how much my instincts were driven by my sense of balance.
I was feeling where the car was, more than I was seeing where I should go.

I don't think 20 over should justify getting arrested on the spot but 181 in a 75 should be an attempted murder charge.
I've done a solid number in a 911 Turbo out on alligator alley in FL where there is literally no one (at night) and the speed limit is 70.
Wouldn't drive that fast again not on a track as I'm a bit older and wiser now about how 1 little thing could have ended me. Was fun though.
You'll see some baws heading from Miami to Naples in their supercars frequently cruising at 120 like it's casual

Isn’t it pretty common to see a gator on the road? That’s what would worry me driving that fast

Ive only seen a handful in 20ish years. They have some wildlife fences that do a good job of keeping animals out of the way. Most people cruise at 80-90 since it's just so long and straight

I maxed out at 156 (250 kph) on the autobahn south of Frankfurt. I only held it there for about 20-30 seconds before backing off. Probably won't do it again. It was a bit intense for my lame arse.

How do you go that fast and not worry about a fricking deer or something being in the road or someone just happened to be going slow in the left lane or some shite? 181 mph? You wouldn't even have time to slam on breaks before you vaulted through the windshield

Even more impressive when you read the article is an link to last year where someone got caught at in 2016 on a 2006 Hayabusa at 209 mph .
I've only had my 2002 up to 194. Had to be a big bore or turbo bike to hit 209.
Been over 180 quite a few times.

I got caught doing 120 in a 60 in summer 2016. Not a lot of fun. My insurance is absolutely disgustingly expensive.

How did nobody die during 140 in a 50. Good lord that’s insane

Simple. They didn’t hit anything.

I totaled a Lexus doing 120. Took out about 15 small tally trees with the passenger side (I was alone) and a large branch on the tree that finally stopped me came through the windscreen to my right. Somehow I walked out without a scratch. The engine was even running still.

That 2006 Busa def had a turbo or some serious work done to it but I've owned 5 street bikes and my last 3 were all ZX14Rs. (2009, 2012, 2015). The 09 would never make it past 200 mph stock but I had SS head 48 MM throttle bodies and a 30 shot of NOS on mine and got it to 203.00418 mph.
My 2012 and 2015 could easily hit around 203-214 mph stock. Before I put the stage 2 turbo on my 2012 I would hit 200 no problem with just a BMC air filter, Brocks CT pipe, Cblast modified ECU and ceramic wheel bearings. I did 214 on my 2015 with basically the same set up.
Any of the newer big boy bikes from 2012-present will easily hit 200 with a blasted ecu, a good exhaust, and the rite gearing. Every year they keep getting faster. Once you get rid of the 186 mph limiter the opportunities are endless.

I work right off Custer near 380. Going 140 down that road is homicide

Fastest I've been in Dallas is 156 on North Dallas Tollway northbound after El Dorado exit. Old guy in a new Z06 was fricking with me. At 150 I pulled up and he kept going. That car is stupid fast.
