We have no idea the costs of treatment or vaccines.

This board now uses just as much emotional reasoning as leftist Reddit communities.

The guy is simply saying what he has seen, treated, and witnessed. It is worth the effort to check out, and if it can keep mild cases out of the hopital, it is a positive.

That’s my sentiments as well. What can it hurt?

Agreed. It should be looked at. Laugh if you will, but over the history of this country innovations have often come out of nowhere like this. I sure as hell don't want to place all my chips with the government "experts."

Why should we listen to some drunk Texan doc? Maybe he meant "Coors Silver Bullet" and it got auto corrected to "COVID silver bullet"?

He had a video on you tube a few weeks ago. The thing is he's treating people at first sign of sickness. The hospitals are sending people home to ride it out unit they need a vent.. glad my wife is a nurse and we are stocked up on everything he's been using to treat people..

I had COPD'ers on triple therapy (LAMA/LABA/ICS) still do poorly in march-april. We've put 'healthy' people during that time on inhalers too, still didn't do much.

Yeah, nah dog. Sorry, not claiming its the cure

To be fair, you're just another random doctor claiming stuff like this random doctor.

The fatality rate isn’t high enough to claim success by treating ‘dozens’. He’s treating people at clinics. How many people show up to these clinics that would end up in the icu? He could be treating a bunch of 20 year old for all we know

This is the problem with all the research.

When such a high percentage of people who do get pretty sick still eventually fight this off to stay out of ICU with Tylenol, it means a huge margin of error if you've successfully treated people before they are in danger of going to intensive care.

It's a perfect scenario to have a lot of success stories because you're 100 person test group just had a higher percentage of patients who would have fought it off with Tylenol.

For that reason, it's better to be skeptical if there are also reasonable studies that did not have success since a very likely reason is that these negative results show the percentages evening out.

Treatments that can show a huge difference in patients that are already --or will soon be --in need of ICU/vents would seem a bit easier to get a clearer idea more quickly.

So he has found a cure for a disease that has a 99>5 % survival rate.

How many patients did he enroll in double blind, controlled study.?

Anecdotal bullshite.

Who was the pretentious, dumbass physician who appeared on Fox in April claiming to have found the silver bullet for COVID?

Yeah. Nearly 100% of the people I have given no medicine to have had mild illness and improved in a week or so. The risk of confirmation bias by prescribing therapy to a low-risk group is sky high.
And there's not enough standardization in healthcare right now for the right kind of identification of those who have been observed to be high risk (the obese, the uncontrolled diabetics, the hypertensives, and even to an extent black people) to be followed early in their courses to see what measures will/won't be effective.

For those in medicine, it's almost a trip back to the Cowboy days. Most just do what they think is right. When they do it enough and feel they've found something useful, they pipe up during lounge talk or at call group meetings, etc. The basis behind it could be way off. Next month, their idea may carry weight. It may be refuted.

We live in interesting times.

Most facilities have been using a vent as the last-ditch effort for months. BiPAP and Vapotherm is the preferred treatment until a vent is absolutely necessary.

I’m not saying it can’t be a positive. It certainly can be. But calling it the silver bullet is like claiming a Super Bowl title after the preseason game.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement there, doc.

If you're going to do an interview about this, the # of people you'v successfully treating would seem like a rather important thing for you to find out.

Why is it only on youtube if this man has found a legitimate treatment? The whole world is looking for answers and this guy can't get an interview anywhere but youtube? I don't get it.
