Scouting locations for Cybertruck Gigafactory. Will be central USA.

"Central USA" is a pretty broad descriptor; this could realistically mean anywhere as far west as Colorado or Utah or as far east as Kentucky or Tennessee.

Dallas seems like a pretty good check the box.

Or another State who will give away tons of tax credits and get ZERO out of it, as plant closes after tif money is gone.

How does one give away tax credits? As in, they don’t take in tax due to the credits? Sure. But if that brings in a factory then it’s a lot of local revenue to buy the ground, build the factory, and then jobs with income taxes that are also in return spending money locally.
As opposed to, hey let’s just let it go to another state.

Not to get off topic, but these credits only apply to big, multi billion dollar companies. As a small business owner, I would like to see a formula based off local payroll and expenses, so all businesses can have tax credits applied to tax liabilities. It’s the selective use based off of presumed economic impact I have a problem with

Alabama has given away a shite ton of credits to Mercedes, Toyota/Mazda, Honda, and Hyundai. Anything from property,to training centers, to Lord knows what else, but I do know that each of thousands of employees, both at the main assembly facility to the tenfold number of employees at the neighboring supplier plants pay an even larger shite ton of income taxes, sales taxes, property taxes, etc.
Much better return on investment than building a new stadium to keep a handful of high paid athletes around.

Possibly near Chattanooga in East Tennessee, or in Middle Tennessee closer to Nashville.

Hey Elon, there is a 3.2 million square foot former GM factory in Shreveport La that is available. That is close enough to the central US and it is still close enough to La to have crawfish.
