Gave Shaq the ol ‘What’s Up’ head-nod a few times as he tooled around campus in his maroon Ford Explorer ((when they were brand new) with the Superman “S” on the grill .. then camped out for two nights outside of Mike the Tiger’s old cage to be in line for #1 Duke and Christian Laettner visiting the PMAC .

the year the campus newspaper exercised it's journalist independence
Headline 1. Miss LSU caught in the rose garden. Headline " Miss LSU , she don't smoke, she don't drink and 2 out of three ain't bad"
Headline 2. Why is campus security getting off by peeking in cars at night around the lakes

Was walking thru the Student Union right by the bank branch in the middle hallway and when i passed the candy shop i heard a girl tell her coworker: “Did you hear ? Magic Johnson has AIDS !”…. The ish-storm that ensued was wild, none of us ever saw that coming and it’s impossible to overstate how huge that news was at the time .

When I was at LSU I witnessed the worst football teams in school history, but got to see the magic come back before graduation.

When I was at LSU, pizza girl was an internet sensation
She was in a few of my classes and she was definitely on the autism spectrum. She was kind of a dick, but I also felt a little bad for her given her lack of introspection.

That Cane's at the LSU North Gate by Circle K and Roul's used to be my go to places to eat after a night of partying or after a Saturday night game at the Tiger Stadium.
Absolutely. And the line carried over down that street with the crappy apartments where the foreign students tended to reside.

Glory holes in Middleton, Shady’s, pizza girl, booing Jarret Lee and begging for Jefferson in the student section. Boy we were wrong

My freshman class never saw a winning football team in our 4 years. Also could still legally drink at least 18

registration and fees was an all day affair that required you to stand in line in the Field House/Indoor Track Facility - first tuition check I ever wrote was $1200 for full time one semester
on drop/add day we would in the basement of Stubbs Hall and get on a Reggie Workstation and drop/add in real time watching the system and grabbing classes as they were dropped on the phone system.
Ernie's had $1 Lone Star long necks all the time
