In my 1st year of grad school, I watched Hodson to Fuller win the Earthquake game.

My first memory of LSU was six years old sitting by the radio listening to John Ferguson’s masterful play by play

I could just walk into the game by showing a student ID, then go to my dorm in south stadium after.

When I was at LSU breaking into the tunnels, the pool house and the stadium dorms was a common thing.
The Carlotta street block party was the thing to do for Halloween.
There was a house on Nicholson that always threw huge parties. Hundreds of people in a house.

CEBA building
I remember CEBA having a vending machine that sold hot food. One day a few people I knew, who all had a class at CEBA around the same time used to hang out for about 20 mins and we noticed no one ever got anything out of that vending machie.
One of the dudes who hung out with us decided he was going to try the wings. It took like 3 or 4 mins for the vending machine to go through the process of warming them up. When they were done, he got them and then took one bite and started choking. He threw them away and was spitting it out in the garbage can.. Anyway, by the end of the semester, they replaced it with a vending machine that sold scantrons, pencils, etc.

You hung out at the Tiger. The Common Ground crash was the Friday night before the TN homecoming game. I think it was a tie.
Bill Wray was playing Sweet Home Louisiana when the Common Ground Balcony collapsed. Killed one guy. I was just inside the bar area when it fell. It was Falstaff night.
We hung out at the Tiger, White Horse, The Tiger Lair at Tiger Plaza. Sans Souci in Port Allen was the after 2 AM spot. Weekends started on Wednesday. Friday at noon was 25 cent bourbon at the Tiger. Never attended class after noon on Friday’s.
Cahoot’s on Nicholson was a great Friday night bar with live music. Copus Brothers played every Friday. Good night Irene was the last song.
Hi the country place down Nicholson in Iberville Parish after 2 am some. Place got pretty rough as bikers took it over.
We hit Lena’s in Addis after a chapter meeting on Sunday nights. The Breakaways played every Sunday night. Played Crocodile Rock better than Elton John.
Once I heard of this new concept called DWI we stayed at the Tiger Land Bar a lot as we could stubble to apartment # 4 without driving.
Birth Control pills became available for the girls and it was on.
That’s what I can recall as significant..
