re: As I said. Kiffin it is.

You guys doubt Phillytiger9 at your own peril. When Lane Kiffin is announced we should order Papa John’s pizza in Phillytiger9’s honor!
Eli Drinkwitz makes more sense than anyone when you consider SEC experience, financials, availability as soon as season is over , talent acquisition, recruiting, development and can coach one side of the ball ansnhas won everywhere he has been with inferior resources than his opponents

Bottom Line

This isn’t a rebuild.
It’s 1 yard per play from dominance.
Use the backs.
Use the tight ends.
Stay balanced.
Win out.

Cascading Effect
   •   +0.5 YPP = +35 yards = +1 TD per game.
   •   +4 min TOP = Defense plays 6-8 fewer snaps.
   •   Fresh legs + balanced O = Nov wins.

What It Would’ve Changed

@ Ole Miss:
   •   4.54 YPP ? 6.0 YPP adds ~82 yards = 1 scoring drive ? flips 24-19 loss.

@ Vandy:
   •   6.6 YPP but short TOP; add 8 snaps through TE/RB quick game = +50-60 yards ? win.

?? How to Close It
   •   Back-to-back runs before every play-action.
   •   Short/intermediate game (7-12 yds) with Jack Bauer & Trey’Dez Green in seams.
   •   Durham/Berry check-downs & angles vs linebackers.
   •   Anderson/Hilton/Brown work slants & posts once safeties bite.
   •   12-personnel rhythm drives raise YPP without changing personnel.

Why the Gap Exists
1. Run-game inconsistency: only 2.6 YPC at Ole Miss.
2. TE/RB underuse: tight ends & backs = mismatch gold but only ~20 % of targets.
3. 3rd-down trouble: 2-for-11 vs Ole Miss, 5-for-11 vs Vandy.
4. Tempo imbalance: LSU held ball 23 min @ Vandy vs 36 for them.

Dear BK and Joe

LSU is closer than people think to an elite offense — the numbers prove it.

?

?? Reality Check
   •   Vs ranked opponents: 5.51 yards per play
   •   Top playoff offenses: 6.0–6.2 YPP
   •   That’s just +0.5 YPP — ˜ 30-35 yards a game.
   •   35 yards = one more scoring drive and one more win.

There were two different feeds one was the umpire feed the other was the regular feed and I watched half of the first inning before ai realized there was another feed. ??

NIL whining can stop now

Posted by Koplan16 on 12/18/24 at 2:39 pm
LSU has the third highest NIL fund at $19 Million in all of College sports
Dan Lanning would be 9-3 or 8-4 playing in the SEC week after week three years ago LSU had 36 scholarship players for BK to have virtually an identical record to Sabin in while having to navigate NIL and follow the Ed O meltdown is pretty remarkable. Hang tight better days coming
No doubt most years it is but this team is wired differently I think they smoke them 35-10
I made this prediction a few weeks ago but this team feels like it has destiny on its side. I think they beat Arkansas 35-10, win out, win the SEC and CFB championship and Nuss wins Heisman. Brian Kelly, this coaching staff and this talent is a winning combination. They’re not the deepest or most talented but they have “It”. Brian Kelly will win at least 2 if not 3 rings before he is done. Lack of depth in a playoff run due to injury is the only thing that can stop them.

A FB and Men’s BB take

This LSU team is improving, 10-2 is probable and 11-1 is possible. McMahon will end up being the best Men’s BB hire in LSU’s underwhelming history and will take it to an elite level. Have a great week!

Will Campbell/Terry Bowden

Will Campbell and Terry Bowden has me believing this team wins it all this year!
Several factors: a perfect storm of a shift to more wide open offense, injuries and off field/academic issues has made last 3-5 years a down time for RBs. I think KJ turns that around this year.
