The people waiting in lines for Jordans aren't paying rent. You and I are paying their rent.

I’m managing okay but I’m 65yo, alone and retired. Groceries are kinda steep. Definitely have to make your list off the sale paper.

I can tell from the businesses I own that people don’t have the money they did 2-3 years ago.

It’s not like you can bring your house into the club with you. It gets awkward trying to show ladies pics of your crib when trying to get some. Nice shoes get you much farther than a nice 401k.

There are people that let their children starve so they can have the new jordans. This is not a good metric of the economy

Restaurants in Lake Charles from Golden Corral to Pats of Henderson remain packed every evening.

Two new coffee joints (7 Brew and Dutch Bros.) will complement PJ’s, Dunkin, Coffee 30, and Starbucks just on Nelson Road. I’m not even counting donut shops that serve coffee, but they all have plenty of business.

Something has to give.

The demand for Jordans has always been high during the best and worst of economies. Some people’s priorities are screwed up.

People that are trying to do things the right way are struggling more. Those taking short cuts and living off of the government are just fine I’m sure. You figure out which ones are in line to buy Jordans.

F-250, Altima, Jeep, and Ram sales still pretty high. So even the folks who struggle with intellectual horsepower are qualifying for credit.

In all seriousness….I’ve been seeing anecdotal signs of trouble for well over a year now. But GDP is still growing.

That may be so, but it still isn’t poverty. I bet you can drive that area all day and not see any children who aren’t fully clothed or people starving.

Hell i can go to an area of my own parish and see kids who wear the school uniforms all summer

Providence made the news last time because a lady was working three jobs to support her family that lived in a trailer.

The trailer had no roof.
