Used to have mono rails between concourses...was pretty cool when I was a kid. Haven't flown in and out of Tampa in a long time. I would suspect if your connection or flight is leaving in the evening between Feburary and November delays are common....

It’s fine. Kind of an odd layout, similar to Orlando, so if your connection is with a different airline than the one you landed on it can be a hassle.
You’ll have average food options. All of the concourses have typical airport fast food, plus some specialty restaurants. The bulk of them are in the following locations:
Airside A - A12
Airside C - C34-39 (Cigar City Brewing is next to C43)
Airside E - E64-70
Airside F - F83-85
Airside F has the best options, IMO. Illy Cafe, Gasparilla, Bella’s, Buddy Brew, Liquid Provisions, Square 1, and some others.

It has nice amenities but the tram between terminals is a bitch. If you have connecting flights at different terminals, you need some time.

Car Rental facility is awesome, but you won’t be using that.

It serves 93 non-stop destinations. It opened in 1971.

they have a pretty nice terminal its all open and all the 10 gates or so are right next to each other in a little pod by itself.

Got diverted there due to weather on a flight from MSY to Key West one morning, when SW was briefly running direct flights there. The Chilis bar in the SW terminal wasn’t exactly stocked and prepared enough for that diversion. Bobby Hebert was on the flight. They eventually took us back to NOLA.

Pretty convenient IMO and I will often fly in and out of there over MCO
