Here's a suggestion. Go to the Walmart in WBR south of the Bridge. Clock how long it takes you to get to Acadian or College Drive. That will help demonstrate part of the issue.

I-10 traffic eastbound is deplorable, and living off of LA1 is just a small taste of it, and it still sucks. You're not going to run to the Whole Foods in Baton Rouge on a whim.

Sucks. There is a private Catholic school, St. John that you can look into.

Restaurants, social scene?

Riverside is slappin.

Fat Daddies is good.

Cabos, a Mexican place that I am not a fan of.

Uncle Johnnys makes a good pizza.

Hot Wok decent Chinese.

Yomatos had okay sushi.

Deja vu is a good place for daiquiris. A good BBQ sandwich.

Beer Belly's is pretty popular bar.

If you live in Plaquemine (or on the westside) and commute into BR, traffic isn't bad coming or going. You don't live off Highland or O'Neal and go run to Whole Foods on a whim.

What? The Sharon's special with onion rings are hitting.

But yeah, it actually used to be better than what it is.

Also, there is lil daddy's on side of it which is a bar.

Lot of folks still "commute" into BR for school,

I cannot image how fcuking awful it would be to have to commute over the Mississippi River bridge twice a day during rush hour traffic. Just fricking kill me now.

They literally once served me a burnt pizza without cheese. Then when I called about it blew me off.

I live here and love it. Kids go to St. John. I’m from galliano and my wife is from here. Deer hunt 10 min down the road and great freshwater fishing. Take it for what it’s worth, I don’t like “city things” or most people for that matter.

Small town atmosphere. Less crime than BR. Decent restaurants but none high end. Overall West Bank is booming.

Every time I read an OweO post, I read it in his voice.

His posts tend to make me believe he’s Mike’s slightly less retarded younger brother.

Sadly I’ve had similar thoughts about OWEO and MFP.

What's your favorite type of food so I can decide where I can take you? Dress formal.
