The only bad traffic I see consistently is evenings from Mandeville to Madisonville on Hwy 22 and 190 north from the interstate into Covington.

Traffic on 22 is crazy because all the schools get out at 2:30-4 on weekdays so you got that influx of school buses and high schoolers that can't drive worth a fricking shite

So your response is a "consider the source" thing.

But you're pretty ignorant. In the general area are a good mix of nice but generic neighborhoods, larger and more secluded lots and city street grid style neighborhoods.

Strip malls and chain stores do not vex me much. Sorry that you're such a delicate little flower.

"White flight"? You mean people smart enough to seek out nicer, safer areas? Also not vexed by this.

The area also has a beautiful sprawling lakefront to the south, a large river for fishing, skiing, boating or whatever to the west, some good bayou systems and a state park to the east, and to the north many easy routes to more remote rural areas for other outdoor endeavors.

But yeah, all the stupid shite you said.

Exactly, the best parts of the north shore can be enjoyed once you get out of Mandeville.

What's cool about mandeville is that there is no public transportation from NOLA and most can't swim.

Dont put a Rukus sticker on your truck/car

Cops hate all folks with Rukus stickers man, you'll be tossed in jail after they plant a dime bag in your whip

One of those trucks was likely me, got caught a few times by STPSO. The last time I did it the guy that owned the property pressed charges and I got arrested. Previous times was a trespassing ticket.

No crime, 5 minutes from so many outdoor activities, great schools, very few poors, great team sport complexes for the kids....I could go on forever

Well unless driving to nola is included in your go on forever list.

Imo and judging by your list, it's a great bubble to raise a young child in. For young professionals, couples without kids, etc ehh not so much

Eta:lol didn't read op. I guess your description worked

-Mandeville High, Fontainebleau high, and Lakeshore High are great schools (As are there feeders).
-Covington High not a much, but still not terrible.
-Saint Pauls and SSA if you're going the Catholic route.

The OP said he had kids. If everyone was looking to be single and have fun, communities like the northshore wouldnt exist in the first place. But if you cant have fun in STP, you need to learn how to make friends.

Your perception of fun isn't the same as everyones FWIW.

Give me a boat on a river, a lake, a swamp, or a forest and a trail to do fun things 1000000000 times out of 1000000000 before going to bars and restaurants as "fun"
