I dont know what your income is, but off of Soult street and Hwy 1088 area there are a lot of new neighborhoods with about 2000 or less sq foot houses, those neighborhoods where they clear all the land and trees and build a 100 houses that look alike, I hate them.

Definitely not looking at cookie cutter crap but I'm trying to stay under 300k if at all possible. I will look into the areas you mentioned.

Thank you, I greatly appreciate the info.

Speaking of traffic with them doing roadwork in between madisonville from drawbridge into Mandeville by Francos did anybody else think yes they gonna put in a turn lane but all it seems is like they are doing is redo road and shoulders. Talk about missed opportunity.

Especially housing but pretty much everything in general. Mandeville , covington, and folsom are all great places to live. The schools in Mandeville are much better than covington and folsom though.

The original bid was for a center turn lane to be extended all the way to bridge.

Not sure what happened. The road needed to be resurfaced, but it would have been nice to have improved traffic flow (even minimally) at the same time.

Mandeville is as good as it gets in Louisiana.

No crime, 5 minutes from so many outdoor activities, great schools, very few poors, great team sport complexes for the kids....I could go on forever

I grew up there

It's boring as frick and the people become unaware there is an outside world.

If I didn't know better I would think there was a vacuum sealed dome on top of St. Tammany.

Hwy 1088 area

Ahhh, the good ole days when you could drive out to the overpass to drag race and drink beer for hours without a single car driving by.

True overall but the others are still pretty highly ranked. The Madisonville area also.

The only bad traffic I see consistently is evenings from Mandeville to Madisonville on Hwy 22 and 190 north from the interstate into Covington.

We probably raced each other. Got arrested for tearing up the pipeline. Good times.

I lived there for about 4 years. I was in Covington Country Club which was easy access off Causeway. If you have to go 190 east or west, good luck.

Mandeville> Madisonville.

Madisonville barely has running water or paved streets.

Not everyone is as gung ho as you are for white flight, strip malls, chain stores, culture-less, boring, milquetoast cul-de-sacs in suburbia. I'm sure the schools are tolerable for Louisiana though. Congrats.
