You got any good kmz to bring into Google earth that show ice accumulation overlays? The one I got from NOAA is decent but just shows probability of 1/4” ice and I’m thinking there’s a chance it will be thicker

1/4" of ice is plenty enough to dicker things.

Where are the ads??
Doing a soft launch right now. Was suppose to be for close friends/family and a select few eyes. Getting use to the timing I need to write these things and layout kinks.
But I figured there's enough interest to drop a post about the coming ice storm.
And don't worry, I'll have a Patreon account set up soon so I can start begging you for money. And get some proper ads on the page.

Sounds awesome.
Let me know if you need any help with ad layout. It’s what I do

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST THURSDAY NIGHT...
WHAT...A mixture of freezing rain, sleet and snow. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches with local amounts up to 8 inches with heaviest snow totals along and north of Interstate 44. I actually saw everything you posted, verbatim, on my weather app before I bumped the thread.. but it says nothing specific about airplanes/airports.. i guess ‘travel impacted’ means flights canceled (?) As of right now my flight status for tomorrow morning on the American Airlines app says ‘on time’.. someone posted on the last page that someone they know’s flight already got canceled , why hasn’t mine been canceled i wonder

Less than 5%. Especially considering there will be a layer of ice under the snow once it starts falling.
That was me who had the friend with the canceled flight. AA added some flights back for Thursday.

roads and other surfaces are pretty warm, it's been in the 60s, 70s at times, for days, hopefully there's not enough precip in a short time for much of it to stick, overpasses will probably be a mess

Fort Worth NWS is speeding up the cold temps for DFW. Hopefully less ice and more sleet or snow.
This type of storm used to happen 2 or 3 times a winter but less common now so everyone freaks out like it’s the apocalypse.
December in DFW shattered the previous record for warmth, by like 6 degrees. That type of weather is much more common now than the ice storms we used to get.

Southwest suspended all Dallas-Love operations tomorrow.
If this means that Love is basically shut down tomorrow , how do yall think that portends for DFW ? Im flying American in the morning and thinking DFW will follow suit .
