I searched and didn't see it posted here.

Who is in the wrong here? Is it acceptable at a gym to do what the teenager was doing?

I'm not sure it was the noise that was the problem. Sounds like there was something else that guy was pissed about.

He was lifting appropriate plates on appropriate surface in a designated area. Older guy should be kicked out the gym.

That video alone proves nothing. Apparently the lifter did something earlier that provoked the incident.

Yeah and he seemed to be away from the rest of the gym. Someone mentioned it seemed to be about something else, if that is the case then whatever.. But if it was strictly about the noise of the weights.. You right, they should have kicked that frick stick out.

Looks staged and fake.

I don’t see what the problem was

Older guy pushed him while he was deadlifting. The gym banned the older guy.

The video shows someone deadlifting then a guy confronting that person. After the confrontation, the person deadlifting appeared to gather his shite and leave. Did you hear what they were arguing about?

Nope, this gym is apparently the Planet Fitness of Canada. You arent allowed to make any amount of noise lifting.

In my experience, Canadians are always impolite and obnoxious. Just more supporting evidence, eh?

There's a little inset screw on each end of the bar that holds the rotating ends in place. I've seen these things crack from repeated impacts. When that happens the bar can catastrophically fail, which is clearly a safety issue. Maybe there was a gym rule against it. The other guy went way overboard though.

So the guy lifting knew the rules. Apparently he had ear buds in and probably couldn’t hear how loud he was being.

Something doesn’t add up. There’s more to the story

I don't see the guy deadlifting to be doing anything wrong.

Either there was a prior altercation or this a planet fitness. It looked like the deadlifter was using a platform area that is made for deadlifting or olympic lifting

they are pissed, because he's dropping the weights. It's one thing to let them down, they get pissed if you continue to drop that much weight

That dude could have hurt the deadlifter by shoving the weights down with his foot like that

what a colossal douche, the weights weren’t even that loud

I couldn't hear what they were saying, so I don't know if it was about being to loud or not. I mean the second guy definitely came up and confronted the lifter but I certainly can't tell from the video the reason for the confrontation.

If the second guy accused the guy of being to loud it's a bullshite reason to confront him. I couldn't tell from the video what was being said..
