The number one thing that I look for in school information is the % of free lunches.

If this is what actually happened, I'm not sure I can blame the 14 year old kid for reacting that way if his mom really was recently deceased. That would have set me off too, and I have an incredibly long fuse. You never know where someone else's "line" is. Teachers especially need to be careful. These kids they deal with a lot of times are seriously broken and come from some unimaginably tough situations.

or you could just not wear a stocking on your head when you're 14.

you know, try to look normal and not invite comments about your appearance.

are you fricking kidding me? Kid is 14. He doesn't get the luxury of having a "line". Teacher sure had one though and the kid learned that the hard way.

The coach deserves a brewski and steak dinner. The kid needed his arse kicked, hopefully even a few more times. Such disrespectful little shits in these schools nowadays.

Prob would’ve been in less trouble if he would’ve just had sex with the kid.

I would bet you the coach/teacher didn't even know about his mother and that situation before he made the comment.

Is it possible the teacher didn’t even know about the deceased mother? That’s a pretty decent sized school, and it was only a substitute teacher

She says she's the godmother for the 14-year-old student, who WSB is not identifying. Medical documents from Lucas showed the punches led to a concussion.

Lucas also says her child suffers from mental health issues, and district officials are aware of it.

Before the punches during English class, the video shows the student throwing a desk. Lucas says the football coach supervising the class made a joke about the student's stocking cap that also involved his recently deceased mother.

Kid has mental issues which school is supposedly aware of
Kids mom RECENTLY dies which school should be aware of

Coach made a joke in poor taste & it set the kid off
He should have been suspended & required to go to counseling and / or anger management
Didn’t deserve a concussion
