Allowing these data centers to use well water as opposed to river or lake water for their needs.
That’s it’s. That’s my only concern. The data centers should be built in a way that they do not tax the existing electrical or water infrastructure of municipalities.

Do these data centers provide income taxes? Suppose we didn't give them a tax exemption, are they producing an income that can be taxed?

I do not favor the data centers. However, I bet if somebody clapped in favor of speakers that were for the data centers, you would’ve been happy if they were arrested. whether you are for them or against them should not affect how you feel about the arrest.

Yes, a shite ton more. There are a lot of permanent jobs and tax revenue. Additionally, our citizens get what they want - fast internet access to increasingly complex computing. This is what the Chinese bots want you to forget, it is us who are demanding this.

China has 1-2 that we know of.
Not all of the US platforms are exactly shining beacons of patriotism.

Yes, so exactly the concerns we should have when they give stadium and tax deals to pro sports franchises, manufacturing plants, etc.

I know there was plenty of pushback locally when the Yum Center was built here in Louisville when it came out that the Louisville Arena Authority severely limited its usage and gave UofL (Pitino and Jurich at the time) controlling power that prevented the movement of an NBA team here.
I know there’s been some significant issues with Tropicana in Tampa/St. Pete. Kansas City with both Royals and Chief’s stadiums (they voted down a tax hike).
Pretty sure the San Diego Chargers relocated because voters rejected funding a $1 billion dollar stadium.
