When it comes to children at a restaurant, it’s the server/busboy cleaning up after that I feel for the most.

I didn’t realize how messy kids were until we started taking my daughter out. I get on my hands and knees to clean stuff up off the floor if it’s bad like that. I’ll never leave a huge mess for someone to clean up even if it is their job. It’s embarrassing to me

You can tell who doesn't have kids by the responses.

If y’all would have voted for Trump, we would be able to afford babysitters.

One thing I agree with is if you take away the phones and iPads the kids go bat shite. I am a young humble man in my 30’s that grew up in the time of game boys. I never was allowed to bring that shite everywhere like these kids do with tech now. Technology is the downfall of our society.

Mexican joints are family friendly. Pizza joints are too. A local eatery charging $15 for the burgers, not so much

If they have hamburgers on the menu, even at $15, that’s where we go when we don’t feel like cooking and we’re absolutely bringing our boys. No one is planning ahead for hamburgers

Completely agree with OP. And why subject a server to this mayhem.

Babies/newborns I can understand being at a restaurant. Sure, the crying gets annoying but that’s life. It’s their beginning. The parents are adjusting as well.

What I find annoying is parents allowing their kids, usually 4-8 range who roam the restaurants while other patrons eat. And the parents allow it and don’t do anything about it.

Selfish parents - stay home then with them, I dont want to hear them. I shouldnt suffer in my experience because of your annoying kids.

You are a grouch. My wife and I had a couple sitting next to us at the counter at Parish Line Bistro last night. They were holding a three month old baby, and it made our night. The baby cried a little, but mostly smiled and cooed. I’m not a religious man, but seeing a child like that is like seeing the face of God.

Agree.

All the down votes prove the OT loves taking their snot nosed brats to a big meal at Applebee's.

If the meal is under 30-40 per person, the target demo is families with kids and old broke people.

That says more about your expectations of Applebee’s than it does the parents.

Hard to find sitters these days if no family available

The chicks that used to babysit can make more money selling foot pics on internet

I like how you think you are entitled to an experience

I much rather listen to my infant make noises at the table than other goobers talk about dumb shite

If you can’t afford to have someone watch your kid for a couple of hours, maybe you should stay home and save that money instead.

Preach old timer! Keep your urchins at home till they’re old enough to sit at a table unattended.
Don’t make the rest of us suffer the “joys” of parenthood with you. Children are a gift you need to keep to yourself. If the rest of us want some, we’ll have them/more of them.
