Bingo. If you’re complaining about kids at a restaurant that provides kids menus, you’re the a-hole.

I saw a lady with a baby at a bar on Cinco De Mayo.
I walked up to her and asked if he'd had his shots. She told me no.
So I said "three tequilas barkeep!"

Most of the folks in here have missed the OP's point ... It's not that kids are in restaurants. It's how their shitty parents allow them to act. Good parents would train them not to "get on my lawn".

Did we ever find out where this was?

If people have their baby at a white table cloth restaurant (Ruth's, Flemings, etc.), then I get it. But that almost never happens. Most babies are better behaved than most adults nowadays.

People have lost all sense of courtesy when it comes to both children and pets.

Some people don’t have the luxury of being with their children as often as they like and take advantage of any quality time they can get. For us, we don’t have family near to babysit and don’t trust strangers to watch our child. Sorry if that is such an inconvenience to you gramps.

I get complaining about people bringing dogs to restaurants, but bringing kids?
This is a core problem with our society. You think you're more important that me bringing my child to a restaurant, which we do every time we go out. You're the problem, not me.

Depends on the restaurant...
If it's Commander's Palace I'd understand, but if It's I-Hop, I'd let it go,,

Both can be the problem.
Parents of young children that have ZERO regard for people around them when the child(ren) are acting like holy terrors is a real situation that is more common that it ever should be. Pick up the child and go outside until things calm down. It really isn't that difficult.

Restaurants I understand. It's a communal place where it's usually a little noisy even without children. Bringing kids to eat is perfectly normal.
Bringing an infant (anything less than 2yo) with no clue of what's happening to a movie (ANY movie), is the dick move of the century.

I’m a dad with a toddler who brings his kid to “nice” restaurants. He can get fussy and yes I will put something quiet on my cell phone to entertain him while me and his mom enjoy a relaxing dinner out of the house. Please, come tell me something about how this inconveniences you in person.

Mexican joints are family friendly. Pizza joints are too. A local eatery charging $15 for the burgers, not so much
Um what? Are you trying to say 15 dollar burger joints are high end dining? Look I get not bringing a younger kid to a place that has a tasting menu or Ruth's Chris level places, but goddamn Bad Daddies and other medium burger places are fine.

Bro when he was a kid he sat silently at every meal chewing stoically like the good lord intended

Really? You sound lovely, someone who believes it is ok for your children to ruin someone's experience somewhere. Again, proving the point of today's parents are the problem.

Maybe said parents like their children and want to be with them for experiences both big and small? My son loves going to restaurants. Yes, my entire family can spot tw*ts like you as soon as we enter. This is how I have learned to feel pity.
