I have 6 cars in front of me because an 18 wheeler is going 70 in the left lane, trying to pass another 18 wheeler going 65 in the right lane. After all 8 of us pass the 18 wheelers, there's a steady diet of vehicles going 60-65 in the right lane. Wait your turn, we're all trying to pass. In the meantime, I'm sure you can see that car seat in my back seat since you're on top of my trunk, I'd appreciate it if you at least gave the kid a chance when you have to slam on your brakes.
And if you see me giving 2-3 car lengths to the car in front of me, that's not an invitation to squeeze in. That's my 2 seconds to stop instead of going through the other car's trunk, which you've now reduced to 0 should they slam the brakes when you squeezed in. Congrats, you're one car closer for the next 2 miles at least.

Since always. It's the passing lane. Which means pass someone quickly and then move back over. If people would use the left lane correctly, there wouldn't be tailgating in the left lane.

More people understood the rules of the road and drove the appropriate speed. Now so many people are texting/talking and a big group seem to be driving Ms Daisy going too slow/not paying attention. Another contingent are semis That simply can’t accelerate/break as needed. Add them all up and you get lots of people causing rolling road blocks for the rest of us that can comfortably drive at interstate speed but now can’t because of asshats

I get staying out of the left on the open road but I had a dump truck on my butt in rush hour on 10 near downtown! Where the heck did he think I could go? People need to slow down a little. Drivers who act like turds rarely kill themselves, just the rest of us.

Adaptive Cruise Control is the shite. Wife’s new vehicle has it and I love it. I set the cruise at 85 with a 3 car length distance and just steer. When the left lane is clear, I move over and pass slow drivers then move back into the right lane and the vehicle slows to match speed of the next vehicle I’m following. It’s beautiful.

The worst is people on 1 lane roads e.g. Highland. If I’m going 50 mph and you want to come ride my arse then we are going to take a nice Sunday drive for a while

I had a woman in her 50s tailgate me the other day. Thing is, I’m going 70 in the left lane and about 3 car lengths behind a car and a long line of cars with no where to go. Before I knew it, she sped around me and cut it close to my car to squeeze in. She then motions that I need to get over to the right lane as she rides the arse of the person in front. She did all that and had no where to go after.

Do you find this has gotten exponentially worse in recent years? I remember it being a rare occurrence but now it seems there’s more idiots riding bumpers at 75+ mph. They’re basically putting their life in the hands of the random person in front, who’s probably texting. Help me understand OT.

You can tell who are the slow arse drivers holding up traffic by they way they comment. Then you got alphas like me and you who aren't afraid to go a bit over the speed limit.

I find it amusing to watch people get 5' off the bumper of someone in front of them, totally trusting someone they've never met to maintain a safe following distance in front of them so they both don't wreck. And they're trusting the person in front of them too.
But you never hear of anyone getting a ticket for it unless they actually bend metal.
