Tailgating on the Interstate

Do you find this has gotten exponentially worse in recent years? I remember it being a rare occurrence but now it seems there’s more idiots riding bumpers at 75+ mph. They’re basically putting their life in the hands of the random person in front, who’s probably texting. Help me understand OT.

I love when someone tailgates me in the left lane and there is a car in front of me. I always get back over and speed up, so the tailgater is stuck behind the left lane cruiser

Doesnt matter what lane... I get tailgated on the interstate in the right lane, on single lane surface streets, etc. Not sure where the op is located, and Baton Rouge drivers arent the worst, but theres a substantial amount who are truly awful.

Yes. Especially with these frickers in pickup trucks and i own a pickup truck.
These big veiny dickheads will not only tailgate in the middle lane, they'll also tailgate in the right lane at times. I just take my foot off the accelerator and watch them flail around like frickin' apes in my rearview mirror.
I guess these dipshits think they're driving nascar or some shite. Because if there's gonna be some a-hole buried up to his windshield in the I-10 marsh, it'll be a low forehead driving a pickup truck.

Why the frick do people get in the left lane if they aren’t prepared to haul arse? Stay to the right.
And if you wanna pass, have a sense of urgency. Don’t go 66 around the guy in front of you going 65. This happens daily on the ABB. I’ll saw you’re fricking bumper off for that shite.

Yes. I consider it assault in a lot of instances. I-12 is the worst I've ever seen. People seem likw they just hit the road to try to kill themselves and others. I go to pass a truck, and I'm going 85, yet billy jeff foitball fricker behind me wants to go 105 so he tries to pass me in the right lane. And if i keep more than half a car length (and often even less) between myself and the car in front of me, he is coming over.
Always seems to be an LP 'neck or a fan of the culture.

There’s actually quite a few big studies that show there’s a link between tailgaters and low I.Q. gays. It’s right at 100% of the tailgaters

You forgot his #3 sticker in the back glass. They think they living some NASCAR fantasy, but they don’t realize the driver they idolize died in a car crash. I just hope and pray me or my family members aren’t one of the poor people they kill because of their reckless driving.

Exactly the type of fool I’m referring to. Since when is the left lane the “haul arse” lane? What are you in such a hurry for baw? Wake up 5 minutes earlier(if you have the discipline to do so) and you won’t have to endanger the rest of us on your way to the plant.

Within a couple car lengths. Any reason to be closer than 3 or 4 lengths while doing 75 mph? Better chance of dying?
