Bluebonnet looked like a war zone with all the stranded cars in the middle of the road, some lights on, some off.

Storm clouds are firing off south of LC this morning already. Hope it’s not another long day

I wonder how that new huge Bellacosa / DR Horton neighborhood faired that everyone fought against. It was a green space flood area for Jones Creek during 2016.

As referenced earlier in this thread, so what is the difference between flash flood warning and flash flood?
Posted on 5/18/21 at 7:31 am to TDsngumbo
Respectfully sir, you can eat a bag of dicks.

the difference in a gun being pointed at you and you being shot by that gun

Taking a shot in the dark here...but maybe a flash flood warning would drown your arse while a flash flood alert will tell you to watch out for that shite, and it would be easier to navigate around...?

Is there a resource to see which streets / locations in BR are flooded? Is i10 closed at highland ? It was an unbelievable shite show last night. Hopefully everyone made it out.

I mean it’s not really my “projection” as much as it’s an observation.

Looks like the amite @ kleinpeter gauge is out of commission. That was always the one to watch for prairieville/geismar flooding.
Eta: nevermind, found it. Its at 12.8 right now. Seems i remember 14.75 in 2016 being the crest.

Yes, more rain will be terrible. What’s worse about today is that all the gullies and bayous around Lake Charles, Iowa, Lacassine, and Welsh are full from yesterday. Even if it doesn’t rain as drastic as yesterday, there simply isn’t anywhere for the water to drain?

Apparently it all flows to Legion st and stays there, as I learned driving into work this morning.
