I am scared baby B and his parents are going to wake up with water in the house also. They almost flooded on the Friday of 2016 also.

I’ve got a 6 AM flight out of BTR tomorrow. Never sleep well before early AM flights but this shite sucks. Lost power in Magnolia Wood about an hour ago but no risk of flooding at least. Prayers to people taking on water

I’ve got about a foot of water in my house. Thankfully saved my car. This is a nightmare.

Took no water in 2016

That’s incredible considering how epic that one was. I am guessing it is due to some nearby drainage issues and or developments? The rivers surely aren’t up to 2016 levels.

It's raining harder than it did in 2016

This downpour is heavier than 2016, so flash flooding is even worse. This is just nonstop torrential rain.

Sleeping soundly, thank god. Hoping they sleep through it and fate keeps the rain at bay.

The radar on dark sky is showing that this is just a continuous stream over us. Might be less severe but more rain for a couple hours.

And I am hearing that warped humming sound that you hear when the winds are gusting before power kicks. 20-30mph gusts with soaked ground isn’t going to go well

EBRSO is dispatching the 5 tons right not to get some people at the apartments on Siegen. Driveway to the Kleinpeter substation is underwater. Siegel near airline shutdown bc of water.

This is a flash flood. Basically it rained so much so quickly drainage just can't keep up. It isn't the rivers backing up like 2016. Be careful using 2016 as a yardstick when the event is different like this.

The only bright spot for those with water is that it won't sit there for days. I flooded in 2016, I know that's of very little relief tonight.

People are just starting to leave the gas station
At 9:50 eve time turned around at Saint George and Winn Dixie because it was too deep. People started parking in any parking lots that didn’t have waves near their entrances. Looks like everyone is going to try driving again. The rain is letting up. But just because it’s drizzling, i don’t think equates to no water on the streets any longer??? I don’t know. Now it’s raining again. Fire trucks going back and forth.

My flood insurance kicks in now in 3 days. I’m throwing dice down the hallway.

30 day waiting period for the win.
