I’ve got about a foot of water in my house. Thankfully saved my car. This is a nightmare.

Took no water in 2016

Damn, I hate it for all you folks. I know this shite is never good, but to have to deal with it again so soon just sucks.

My parents said the water is now coming in their house and the power is out... S. Sherwood/Harrel’s Ferry.

This is awful. I’m so sorry for everyone going through this.

Ward Creek at Inniswold (Westminster/Pine Park/Inniswold/Jefferson+Bluebonnet) gauge is within a foot of 2016. Came within 4 inches of getting flooded then.

Is there a site you can check the gauge?

The dog and I are upstairs. I sat on the steps for a while and just watched it come up.

Got my car out, thankfully

I take it you have power still. I’ve only ever lost it during the ice storm earlier this year but it took a week to get back on our block in southdowns.

It’s coming down heavy still on siegen at this gas station I’ve been stuck at. : /

someone in our neighborhood was afraid his car would float away so he pulled into our driveway and is riding it out at our house. Since I’m not home, my husband, the kids, and the stranger had leftovers that our oldest daughter burned while reheating. I’m sure my husband insisted the guy have some bourbon. So that may help the situation...

I’m so sorry aspy.

God, it’s so bizzare. I’m sitting here in total darkness just listening to the heavy rain just pouring on all sides. Buffeting the house. Watching the water slowly rise and there’s not a fricking thing I can do.

Can’t even get out if I wanted since the streets are so flooded.

I’m not...worried, I guess. It’s more just a sense of helplessness

Because come morning I’m either gonna be splashing in my living room or I’m not. I can’t control the inevitable.

But these next 7 or so hours until dawn are going to last forever. I think it’s time for a very old scotch

Hopefully this stuff falls apart before it hits Laplace or NOLA. Neither have a shot of handling even half this amount of rainfall.
