Daily drinker here. Recent colonoscopy was 100% clean. I’m a believer that if you don’t die in an accident, genetics will determine what takes you out.

Interesting that people want RFK to ban a bunch of shite with little scientific evidence but they're balking at a label o.n alcohol, which has been known to be harmful for thousands of years.

If you get addicted to alcohol and are severe enough cancer is the least of your worries. Youll be dead before the cancer exists.

I don't miss it because I know I can't just have 1 or 2. That turns into 9 or 12 and then I break out..... in handcuffs lol.

Who’s balking? They can put as many labels on alcohol as they want.

It's indisputable that alcohol is bad for the human body. Recent meta-studies have concluded there is no safe dosage of alcohol intake.
That said, it's equally indisputable that life is much more fun when you do drink alcohol occasionally.
I effectively stopped drinking a few years ago to spare my mind and body as I aged, but I still miss it. Socializing is much more banal and predictable when you are dead sober. Nothing interesting or unexpected happens.

Correct.
Id still say if you were in the addiction heavily enough, cancer is literally the last thing on your mind.
Your liver is failing, you're bloated, you bleed for an hour when you get a nosebleed.
Then for those who got clean, I bet you cancer never once crossed your mind the first 30, 60, 90, 120 days of getting clean.
Ive said it before and Ill say it again.
The United States used race to prohibit marijuana for 100 years (hyperbole).
At the same time they were pumping in booze and spirits were now alive and well. They knew early on that this stuff was addictive, make no mistake about that.
They tried prohibition and we all saw how that turned out plus there was too much money in MEDICAL and alcohol sales to prevent people from drinking.
Alcohol - not fentanyl, not marijuana, not coke, not heroin, not meth, not angel dust, not crack is the King. It is the perfect drug and is the shot caller when it comes to that world.

I would prefer the label to warn about the increased risk of waking up with a fat chick in your bed.
