It is too nice outside to be in front of a television.

Same goes for a Michigan.

Summer at a lake house is great while it lasts.

Other than my kids being out of school, summer is my least favorite time of the year. It feels like being on the surface of the sun in South LA

Agree. It's the only time of year I want to go to MI. It's so pretty up north & near the lake, and you can actually enjoy being outside. Only thing I miss about the state.

Sorry, but ever since I've been out of school and had a real job that doesn't give summers off, it's been a solid 4th place in the seasonal rankings.

ETA: But TODAY is one of the best days of the year. Maybe the best, period. The rest of summer, not so much.

I live on the arse end of eastern time zone. When I laid down for bed last night at 930, light was still peeking in through the windows... I hate it.

As a kid I loved going to Georgia during the summer. We'd play basketball til 10

I'm fine with summer until the lake gets bath tub warm, then summer can frick right off.

What is this "fall" that some of you speak of? I alawys thought Thanksgiving was just late summer...you know, because its still 90 damn degrees....

I spent most of a summer a few years ago in Summit County, Colorado. It was fricking magical.

In retrospect, I should sold all my possessions and moved up there. I think I'd be happy with the weather/environment even if I was waiting tables.
