Until they frick you on the levelized billing anyways and add more to it. This is Entergy we are talking about , a truly scum corporation.

I keep mine on 69 degrees and not because I'm comfortable at that temperature.

These threads need to include usage and not just total cost. The cost per kwh varies some during the year.
I've caught Entergy charging me for peak hours when I know they shouldn't have been (shut it down just to test the theory).

Puffoluffagus shows his usage in that chart. How big is your house? That is some serious usage.
~4k Sq ft.
I also have an EV and usually use 100-200kwh per month for charging.

that makes more sense. and the size of the house versus the usage isnt too bad.
But You never had less than 1500 kwh. Our house is 2 story and about 2600 square feet. We never went above 2000 kwh last year and only went above 1000 kwh in 4 summer months.
But we do have gas water heater and gas furnace.. that makes a big difference.

65. I used to keep it at 74 but then the gov told me to put it at 80 so I told them fuk you. Its kinda cold for my liking but I just put a light long-sleeve when I'm in the house.

Yeah unfortunately we have electric water heater x2.
We have heat pumps(x2) for the a/c and it hardly gets cold enough for the heat strips to kick in, but when they do it's inefficient and costly.
Electric double ovens as well which gets used often.
There's always someone home as well so we don't really adjust the temps during the daytime etc. Plus wont say we go out of our way to be conservative with usage. It all adds up.

if you'd listen to pioneerbasketball and leave your thermostat set at 94 during the summer you wouldn't be having these issues.

$125 last month. Central Alabama Electric Co-Op.
I burn very few lights. 1200 sq. ft.
Have a natural gas water heater. $16 last month. I make it count.
$24 water bill and I take a shower each day.
You can take 1 million dollars and live off a quarter of that in the South compared to the North or out West.
2 million. Cut that quarter of a million in half again.

We are switching over to Direct Energy from Cirro.
'Free' nights and free Amazon prime for 24 months. 9p to 9a.
Cirro only had reduced nights and TXU only offers Free nights from 8p to 5a.

Be thankful, I moved out of state and then realized how cheap Entergy’s electricity is.
Entergy: $0.009885 per kWh
Minnesota: $0.13382 per kWh
Never thought I’d be giving props to Entergy/Louisiana, but here we are. That’s a +1300% increase.

Levelized billing is a scam. Pay for what you use.

Just do level billing you idiot and stop bitching about what is extremely obvious to anyone with a brain, that you use more electricity in the fricking summer than you do the winter in South Louisiana.
And those bills aren't even that high
