Almost all older landcruisers and LX470s I have seen for sale have no less than 150k on them. I saw a 99 Landcruiser with like 425k miles on it the other day

- No Subaru?

No turbo Subaru. They usually tuned by 15k and second motor by 40k.

I have a 2004 Toyota 4unner with right at 100k miles that i have just had for a very long time and drive it every couple days. Its not my daily driver.

Not ever getting rid of it.

That vehicle has literally had zero problems after all these years.

I have had to do minor work to it like my battery cable connect had to be replaced once, i have changed minor stuff but it has yet to leave me stranded or be unreliable.

Truly quality made vehicle

Some may go the distance, but does it really count if you have to spend half the value of the car on maintenance and repairs.

Definitely - I am not sure why they aren't listed. It's easily 10% over 200K - plenty from the 70s, 80s & 90s still on the road...

yeah thats crap IMO.

so you built a great 'half a car'.

quality engineering means *ALL OF THE CAR* is engineered well.

how can anyone say a german car that shits the bed at 100k is 'great engineering'?

I had a 5 series E39 that I drove to 200k. It was limping towards the end of its life, but it made it.

There's a lot of Mercedes diesels from the 70s and 80s out there with well over 200k.

i say this as the owner of a 1987 e30.

the car is fun to drive and a head-turner but the hell i'd trust it on a trip longer than 100 miles.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Hmmm...This seems like a self fulfilling prophecy.

People who spend a lot of time in their cars drive cars that maximizes their space while keeping mpg at a reasonable level. Hence most are compact SUVs.

My Yaris has 275,000 miles. Most people would have traded it for something else when the clutch went out at 185,000 miles. I know my relatives thought I was crazy to drop $600 on a car that wasn’t worth no more than $1,200. I looked at it as $600 for no car note for two more years. Most people think like my relatives.

Awesome engineering, but no durability

Odd. Durability is sort of what I'm looking for in engineering.

Well, that and truck nuts.

Wonder how many still have their A/C working?

In Louisiana, if the a/c is broke, and it's not worth fixing, then the vehicle is worthless.
